Why does emptying require a crane truck?
The waste sits in an internal lifting bag inside the in-ground well. A crane raises the bag and opens its bottom to release the waste, something a standard front-load garbage truck simply cannot do.
How do you keep odour down in summer?
The design does most of it: the below-grade portion of the container stays cool, which slows the bacterial growth that causes odour. We reinforce that with scheduled container washing and deodorizing.
Can one container group handle garbage, recycling and organics?
Yes. MolokDomino units are modular and divide into separate compartments per waste stream, and we schedule crane-lift emptying for each stream independently.
