Search for dumpster rental prices and you will find numbers ranging from suspiciously cheap to alarming. Both ends are usually hiding something. Here is what actually sets the price of a bin rental in Ontario, and how to get your real number fast.
The five things that set the price
1. Bin size. A 20-yard costs more than a 10-yard, but not twice as much. The truck trip is the same; you are mostly paying for disposal capacity.
2. Your location. Disposal facilities charge different rates in different parts of the province, and travel distance matters. That is why an honest company quotes by town rather than one provincial number, and why our prices are listed right on each local page.
3. What goes in it. General household and renovation waste is the baseline. Dense clean fill like concrete, brick, and dirt runs on its own dedicated bins because the weight changes everything.
4. Weight. Our rentals include 1 metric tonne of disposal. Many cleanouts fit within it; renovations with heavy materials like tile, plaster, and shingles often don't, so those jobs get planned around it. When you tell us what you are tossing, we size the bin so the weight works.
5. Rental length. The standard rental is 5 days. Extensions are available when you need them; just ask, rather than guessing from a website that was not written for your project.
Watch for the cheap headline number
A rock-bottom advertised price often excludes disposal, caps weight unrealistically low, or adds delivery charges at checkout. When you compare quotes, compare the delivered, disposal-included number for your actual town.
How to see your exact price
Every one of our hub city pages lists current bin prices for that division, with the rental terms spelled out beside them. Find your community under service areas, from Whitby to Peterborough to Cambridge, and the price tiles are right on the page. From there, booking online takes about two minutes.
When a bin is not the cheapest answer
For loads under a tonne, a Bam Bag often beats a bin on price. And when the pile is furniture and junk rather than renovation debris, our bin-based junk removal model charges a flat rate and lets you load at your own pace. Not sure which fits? Call 1-888-771-2467 and describe the pile; we will point you at the cheapest honest option.
